Becher"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\">Tengo edad suficiente para recordar la fusi\u00f3n de nuestras iglesias (Denominaciones) que cre\u00f3 la Iglesia Metodista Unida y por qu\u00e9 era y necesita llamarse Metodista UNIDA. Tambi\u00e9n recuerdo los autobuses cargados de nuestra gente que vinieron al Sur para las manifestaciones y la eventual disoluci\u00f3n de la Conferencia Central que era en realidad segregaci\u00f3n. Nos fortalecimos entonces y seguiremos fortaleci\u00e9ndonos de nuevo. Me cri\u00e9 en la parte m\u00e1s conservadora de la Iglesia Luterana. Form\u00e9 parte de la primera promoci\u00f3n que se orden\u00f3 en la Iglesia Metodista Unida en el legado Southern New England UMC en 1968. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 el cambio? Por John Wesley y su aceptaci\u00f3n de cualquiera en su movimiento \"metodista\". No debemos juzgar a los dem\u00e1s ni tratar de ser \"Dios\" en nuestro trato con los dem\u00e1s seg\u00fan Jes\u00fas. Nuestra iglesia lleva mucho tiempo aceptando a gente que el mundo ha desechado, y es m\u00e1s fuerte por ello. A mis 84 a\u00f1os he llegado a aceptar que s\u00f3lo Dios puede juzgar, no yo.
