Representantes de numerosos grupos comunitarios y de defensa, tradiciones religiosas y ciudades de todo Tennessee se unieron en una sola voz para abogar por la reforma de las armas y por una mayor seguridad de las mismas.<\/p>\n<p>La jornada comenz\u00f3 en McKendree UMC, donde miembros de la comunidad y supervivientes de la violencia armada hablaron sobre la importancia de cambiar las pol\u00edticas en torno a este problema. A continuaci\u00f3n, el grupo march\u00f3 a la Plaza Legislativa, frente al edificio del Capitolio del Estado de Tennessee, para celebrar una rueda de prensa y una concentraci\u00f3n. Despu\u00e9s de comer, la gente se reuni\u00f3 con sus equipos en el edificio Cordell Hull para escuchar las reuniones de los comit\u00e9s, repartir folletos educativos y hablar con los funcionarios electos.<\/p>\n<p>Una de las participantes, Lynn Patterson, dijo que fue una experiencia profundamente enriquecedora. \"Disfrut\u00e9 aprendiendo sobre las formas en que los metodistas unidos pueden abogar por cuestiones de justicia social como la seguridad de las armas\", dijo Patterson. \"Trabajamos en grupos para visitar a los legisladores y expresarles nuestras preocupaciones sobre ciertos temas y conocer sus posturas\".
