El mi\u00e9rcoles 22 de mayo, el clero de toda la Conferencia de Tennessee-Western Kentucky fue invitado por el Obispo McAlilly y los Presidentes de las \u00d3rdenes y la Confraternidad a reunirse en el Parque Estatal de Montgomery Bell para un \"D\u00eda aparte del clero\". En esta reuni\u00f3n, el clero pas\u00f3 tiempo en comuni\u00f3n unos con otros y recibi\u00f3 recursos para apoyar su salud mental.<\/span><\/p>\n

A lo largo del d\u00eda, el clero escuch\u00f3 a varios profesionales de la salud mental hablar de estrategias para dar prioridad a su propia salud mental en medio de las exigencias del pastorado. La Rev. Dra. Sheila Peters, psic\u00f3loga cl\u00ednica licenciada por la Universidad de Fisk y pastora local en la Conferencia TWK, habl\u00f3 sobre c\u00f3mo adoptar una vulnerabilidad saludable; la Rev. Neelley Hicks, l\u00edder de Triumph Over Trauma, habl\u00f3 sobre c\u00f3mo gestionar el propio bienestar en \u00e9pocas de cambio; y Courtney Lawson y la Rev. Renee Dillard, ambas trabajadoras sociales licenciadas, hablaron sobre c\u00f3mo equilibrar las prioridades pastorales con el autocuidado.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Realmente pasamos un gran d\u00eda juntos en el evento\", dijo el Dr. Lewis. \"Nuestro clero trabaja muy duro para servir a las iglesias, a la gente y a las comunidades de nuestra conferencia y m\u00e1s all\u00e1, y a veces, en medio de todo ese trabajo, creo que es importante salir, vernos unos a otros y, como dijo el obispo McAlilly, 'tomarnos un respiro'. Tuvimos algunas presentaciones realmente excelentes de expertos en nuestra conexi\u00f3n sobre salud mental, autocuidado y recursos de apoyo.
