El domingo 8 de septiembre, en Brentwood UMC, la Conferencia TWK celebr\u00f3 una recepci\u00f3n de bienvenida para el Obispo David Graves y su esposa, Nancy. El evento fue coorganizado por Brentwood UMC, el Comit\u00e9 de Episcopado de TWK, la Mesa de Conexi\u00f3n de TWK, el Gabinete, el Personal de la Conferencia y las Mujeres Unidas en la Fe de TWK.<\/p>\n

Josh Shaw, miembro laico del Distrito del R\u00edo Mississippi y miembro tanto de la Mesa de Conexi\u00f3n TWK como de la Delegaci\u00f3n de la Conferencia General TWK, comparti\u00f3 su experiencia de ser compa\u00f1ero de oraci\u00f3n del Obispo Graves en las semanas y meses previos a la Conferencia Jurisdiccional del Sudeste en julio. A continuaci\u00f3n, hizo hincapi\u00e9 en la compatibilidad entre la realidad actual de nuestra conferencia y los dones del obispo Graves.<\/p>\n

El Rev. Pat Freudenthal, Decano del Gabinete, y la Rev. Dra. Deborah Smith, Superintendente de Distrito interina del Distrito Metropolitano, enviaron saludos del gabinete y presentaron regalos de cada uno de los nueve distritos de la Conferencia TWK. Hablaron sobre el coraz\u00f3n de la misi\u00f3n de la conferencia.<\/p>\n

La presidenta de TWK Mujeres Unidas en la Fe, Meredith Bingham, dio la bienvenida a la conferencia al obispo y a Nancy Graves y les entreg\u00f3 semillas para que las plantaran como s\u00edmbolo de la fidelidad de Dios.<\/p>\n

El Rev. Jefferson Furtado, pastor de Hilldale UMC y Superintendente de Distrito de la Cohorte para la Junta de Ministerio Ordenado de TWK, entreg\u00f3 a los Graves chaquetas con el logotipo de TWK y otros obsequios ministeriales de la Mesa de Conexi\u00f3n y el personal.
