Bunch de la Universidad Belmont, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Museo Conmemorativo del Holocausto de los Estados Unidos, ha tra\u00eddo a Nashville una exposici\u00f3n para el aprendizaje y el di\u00e1logo.  La exposici\u00f3n, que estar\u00e1 abierta hasta el 8 de diciembre, se titula Algunos eran vecinos: Elecci\u00f3n, comportamiento humano y Holocausto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catorce miembros de la Iglesia Metodista Unida West End de Nashville se reunieron con un grupo de la Sinagoga West End para cenar, realizar una visita privada a la exposici\u00f3n y, a continuaci\u00f3n, debatir sus pensamientos y reflexiones. La exposici\u00f3n, a trav\u00e9s de palabras e im\u00e1genes, muestra c\u00f3mo respondieron las personas a la persecuci\u00f3n y el asesinato de sus compa\u00f1eros de clase, compa\u00f1eros de trabajo, vecinos y amigos jud\u00edos. Algunos actuaron por odio a los jud\u00edos, pero muchos otros estaban motivados por el miedo, la codicia y la oportunidad de acceder a un trabajo mejor. La visita privada permiti\u00f3 asimilar en silencio mensajes dolorosos. \u00bfQu\u00e9 llev\u00f3 a unos pocos a arriesgarse a ayudar a las v\u00edctimas?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras la visita, nos reunimos en peque\u00f1as mesas para debatir con miembros de ambas congregaciones. Las palabras fueron: S\u00edsifo, codicia, miedo, repetici\u00f3n, historia, odio, fanatismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hubo consenso en la preocupaci\u00f3n de que nuestros amigos y vecinos inmigrantes se enfrentan a algunas de las mismas acciones desafortunadas que condujeron al Holocausto.  La pregunta era: \u00bfQu\u00e9 podemos hacer? Las sugerencias incluyeron: conectar con <a href=\"https:\/\/remixtn.betterworld.org\">remixtn.betterworld.org<\/a>\u00a0(una organizaci\u00f3n que hace muchas cosas creativas para ayudar a los inmigrantes); cenar en restaurantes en los que haya empresarios y personal que necesiten apoyo; implicarse en actividades de \"salir a votar\"; prestar ayuda econ\u00f3mica a organismos acreditados; imprimir los derechos de los transe\u00fantes y los detenidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una historia del Holocausto reson\u00f3 en muchos de los miembros de nuestro grupo: una mujer sali\u00f3 de entre la multitud de espectadores que presenciaban las deportaciones y abraz\u00f3 a su amigo, un amigo que no sobrevivi\u00f3 a los campos.
