Wesley in the Woods, un retiro de confirmaci\u00f3n de TWK, fue organizado en Cedar Crest del 7 al 9 de noviembre. El equipo de Ni\u00f1os de TWK plane\u00f3 este retiro, pasando tiempo con los confirmandos sobre lo que significa ser un Metodista Unido. A trav\u00e9s de los confirmandos y el liderazgo, 13 iglesias UMC fueron representadas este a\u00f1o. Kelsey Sledge, Betsy Haley y Tracy Evers dirigieron los talleres, el Rev. John Weaver de la Fundaci\u00f3n Wesley de Tennessee Medio fue el orador principal, y Gideon Sledge e Isabel Berry-Womack de Cookeville FUMC dirigieron el culto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los confirmandos asistieron a talleres sobre la comuni\u00f3n, el bautismo, la historia metodista unida y Juan\/Carlos Wesley. En el culto, los alumnos reflexionaron sobre la historia del hijo pr\u00f3digo, y c\u00f3mo la palabra \"pr\u00f3digo\" puede en realidad describir a Dios y el amor de Dios por nosotros: \u00a1extravagante y d\u00e1ndolo todo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los estudiantes tambi\u00e9n se conectaron con la ayuda en caso de cat\u00e1strofe de la denominaci\u00f3n haciendo m\u00e1s de 200 paquetes de higiene de UMCOR que conten\u00edan toallas, jab\u00f3n, higiene dental, tiritas y corta\u00fa\u00f1as. Tambi\u00e9n hicieron notas de agradecimiento para las personas de UMCOR que distribuyen los paquetes y dedican su tiempo a ayudar a los necesitados en diversas cat\u00e1strofes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los estudiantes tambi\u00e9n pudieron pasar tiempo juntos durante el fin de semana jugando al aire libre, participando en una b\u00fasqueda del tesoro y compartiendo malvaviscos alrededor de una hoguera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
