{"id":9889,"date":"2023-01-17T11:28:51","date_gmt":"2023-01-17T17:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/twkumc.org\/?p=9889"},"modified":"2025-12-10T09:23:46","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T15:23:46","slug":"staying-in-the-umc-holly-neal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/twkumc.org\/es\/news\/staying-in-the-umc-holly-neal\/","title":{"rendered":"Permanecer en la UMC | Holly Neal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He decidido seguir siendo Metodista Unida por varias razones:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los miembros y las congregaciones pueden existir con diferencias - las personas razonables pueden estar en desacuerdo y mi fe crece a medida que compartimos nuestras diferencias. John Wesley dijo \"<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\"Aunque no podamos pensar igual, \u00bfno podemos amar igual? \u00bfNo podemos ser de un mismo coraz\u00f3n, aunque no seamos de una misma opini\u00f3n? Sin duda alguna, podemos. En esto pueden unirse todos los hijos de Dios, a pesar de estas peque\u00f1as diferencias\".  Estamos unidos como hijos de Dios.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Iglesia Metodista Unida a trav\u00e9s de UMCOR y Ministerios Globales impacta vidas en todo el mundo. A veces estos ministerios ayudan en nuestras comunidades locales, en nuestros distritos, Conferencia y en todo el mundo al compartir nuestros recursos\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">equipar y transformar personas y lugares para la misi\u00f3n de Dios.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Siempre me ha encantado que la Iglesia Metodista Unida tenga comuni\u00f3n abierta - algunas denominaciones s\u00f3lo permiten a los miembros participar en la comuni\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bautismo - est\u00e1 disponible a cualquier edad porque reconocemos que el bautismo es obra de Dios y no del individuo.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La UMC promueve el trabajo conjunto de cl\u00e9rigos y laicos a todos los niveles.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Itinerario con nuestro clero - He aprendido de los mejores, no de un solo clero como en otras denominaciones.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Iglesia Metodista Unida me ha dado la oportunidad de crecer en mi fe a trav\u00e9s del Ministerio de Servicio Laico.  Las varias clases ofrecidas me equiparon para servir a Dios en mi iglesia local, comunidad y m\u00e1s all\u00e1 para el bien mayor.  Estoy agradecida por las oportunidades de liderazgo que he tenido para servir a Dios y al pueblo de Dios en mi congregaci\u00f3n local, en el Distrito Caney Fork River y en la Conferencia TWK.   Estos cursos de formaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n me han llevado a ponerme a disposici\u00f3n de nuestro Distrito para ocupar p\u00falpitos cuando sea necesario.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Me gustar\u00eda terminar con una historia.  Una vez, hace mucho tiempo, me plante\u00e9 dejar la UMC.  Estaba luchando con una controversia en la iglesia local a la que asist\u00eda.  Un domingo visit\u00e9 una denominaci\u00f3n diferente con un amigo.  Las cosas estaban muy bien.  A veces, si s\u00f3lo vamos a la iglesia una hora a la semana, las cosas van bastante bien.  Pero si eres como yo y te gusta involucrarte puede haber obst\u00e1culos en el camino.  Escuch\u00e9 a Dios en mi conocedor (as\u00ed es como Dios me habla, simplemente lo s\u00e9) que si me involucraba en otra iglesia probablemente habr\u00eda otros obst\u00e1culos. O\u00ed a Dios diciendo, \"Podr\u00edas empezar una iglesia; la Iglesia de Holly Neal. Tendria un solo miembro (Holly) y no podrias mantenerte feliz todo el tiempo.  Desde entonces no he vuelto a pensar en dejar la denominaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creo sinceramente que juntos somos mejores. Los metodistas unidos no somos personas perfectas, pero valoramos las Escrituras y nos animamos mutuamente a ser todo lo que Dios nos llama a ser.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am choosing to stay United Methodist for several reasons: Members and congregations can exist with differences &#8211;
