What is a Lay Servant and Why Do We Need Them?
Lay Servants are to serve the local Church or Charge in any way that their witness or leadership and service inspires the laity to deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship. This includes the interpretation of scriptures, doctrine, organization, and ministries of the church.
Prerequisite
You must have your pastor’s approval to participate prior to registering. After your registration has been submitted, an email will be sent to your pastor confirming approval. To receive credit for the class you must attend both days. An Advanced Course Training is required every 3 years to maintain Certified Lay Servant status.
