The Administrative Ministry Support Assistant is a part-time position. The position serves as an administrative assistant to the pastor(s) and ministry teams. The Administrative Ministry Support Assistant works with the Finance Manager, the Director of Children’s/Youth Ministry, worship leaders, and the church leadership team. This position coordinates and designs all publicity and artwork for McKendree UMC and creates promotional ministry materials with the communications team. The Ministry Support Assistant maintains and updates the website, designing graphics as needed. The Ministry Support Assistant contacts vendors and makes purchases for events and assists with decorations for events as needed. The Ministry Support Assistant registers participants for various programs and groups and maintains lists of registered participants and payments made as needed.

Qualifications:
Good people skills
Creative
Competence in computer skills, multimedia production, word processing, graphics and web design, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS products with 2-3 years of experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Some accounting experience
Degree Preferred (Bachelor’s minimum)
