Lebanon First United Methodist Church (LFUMC) seeks a Director of Children and Family Ministries to bring fresh ideas to this age-level ministry focused on children ages three through 6th grade and their families. The Director will cultivate inclusive relationships with all children and families and develop engaging faith-based activities to sustain a lifelong relationship with Christ and all who follow Him. Reporting to the Pastor of Discipleship, the successful candidate is expected to work positively with all church staff and lead a life that brings honor to Christ, LFUMC, and the Lebanon community. LFUMC’s mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
 Knowledge of the social, emotional, and spiritual development of children.
 Ability to work productively with a diversity of children, families, and church members.
 A positive and welcoming personality.
 Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
 Ability to use a computer and all basic applications (email, internet, Microsoft Office or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications, plus:
 A degree, certification, or other credentials in general or Christian education, and/or,
 Previous experience in children or family ministries, and/or,
 Previous teaching experience in public, private, or homeschool settings.
Major Job Duties:
 Recruit, train, and support Sunday School teachers, nursery staff, and volunteers.
 Coordinate and manage paid nursery staff.
 Create new curriculum or evaluate and select existing curriculum.
 Provide opportunities of enrichment in faith development (Tween program, Musicals, etc.)
 Empower Parent’s Day Out director to create an efficient working environment for all stakeholders.
 Facilitate and coordinate Confirmation classes and activities.
 Provide resources and support to leaders, parents, and children, as needed.
 Facilitate and oversee seasonal activities with Children’s Council, Sunday School teachers and Family
Council (VBS, Holiday activities, summer activities, Promotion Sundays, etc.)
 Steward and effectively manage an annually allocated ministry budget.
 Provide Children and Family ministry content for the church website and social media pages.
 Lead Safe Sanctuary training and ensure adherence in all settings.
 Collaborate with staff and communicate regularly with all stakeholders.

Hours/Salary: Full-time or part-time candidates will be considered; salary negotiable based on qualifications.
