Director of Music Ministries
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Full or Part Time

Madison Street United Methodist Church, Clarksville, TN, a downtown
church with a history of excellence in music and worship seeks a gifted and dedicated individual to lead its music ministries. Responsibilities of this position include but not limited to planning and leading the congregational music for the Sunday morning worship and special seasonal observed services and directing the adult choir. Re-establishment and directing of the handbell choir after an extended hiatus. This position reports to the senior pastor and works with the pastor and church staff to ensure that pastoral care for the music ministry provides a worshipful experience for all.

Church instruments include but not limited to: pipe organ (Rieger-Kloss Opus 3717, 2001)
Piano (Petrof 7’8” grand in sanctuary and multiple other instruments.

The applicant should have a B.S. in Music Education with emphasis in
choral directing or a B.S. in Choral Directing. The individual should have
knowledge of or willingness to learn the church liturgical year for special services. Prior experience a plus.
