Congratulations to our Deacon brothers and sisters on your new sacramental authority! Come live into it fully with us in a brand new opportunity created for you.

Nolensville First United Methodist Church is seeking a passionate, driven, and creative commissioned or ordained deacon to join our pastoral team as the Pastor of Children, Family, and Outreach Ministries. This position is full-time, but a 3/4-time arrangement may be possible. The start date is flexible and would be sometime in July.

We are a vibrant and growing church located in the historic district of Nolensville. Nolensville (15-25 minutes from Franklin, Brentwood, Smyrna, Lavergne, and Antioch) is one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the greater Williamson County area. As a result, our population is growing (over 16,000) and our church is growing rapidly as well. We are proud to be a beacon of light in our community from our iconic red steeple since 1837. We have a diverse congregation of all ages and stages with 150-175 worshiping on Sundays in two different worship styles. There is something for everyone here.

Nolensville First United Methodist Church believes in living out our vision statement as we strive to be “a neighborhood church where people experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus in a welcoming church family.” We believe in community and connection and that is what drives us to #BeUMC and “BE UNITED”. Please see our BeUMC statement on our website to find out more.

We are stepping into our future as we have created and are committed to creating nurturing and engaging environments where children, youth, and families of all kinds can grow in their relationship with Jesus and each other in an intergenerational community of faith. And we are committed to fostering a safe environment for all children, youth, and families.

This new position combines our current part-time Children & Family Ministries Director with additional responsibilities as part of the pastoral team in the area of Outreach. You will assist the Senior Pastor in congregational care as needed with our Care Team and help in the oversight of organizing and implementing our mission opportunities with our Mission Team. We are still working on the job description since we are not hiring until July. Please contact us if you are interested and we can provide greater details.

Does this sound like what you are called to do? We would love to explore the possibilities and opportunities with you.
