The legacy youth councils of the Memphis and Tennessee Conferences will join virtually for a presentation and discussion of the Ministry Architects TWK Youth Ministry Discovery Process Report on Friday, July 30, 7:00 PM CDT. The report reflects the thoughts, hopes, and dreams for youth ministry in the new Tennessee-Western Kentucky (TWK) Conference and contains recommendations for moving toward that evolving vision.
In the coming days, members of the legacy youth councils will receive Zoom login information they will need to access the meeting, as well as information concerning decisions to be made for the near future.
Open Virtual Q&A Session Gives Opportunity for Feedback and Reflection on Saturday, July 31, at 7:00 PM CDT
While the Ministry Architects TWK Youth Ministry Discovery Process Report has now been available for several weeks, sharing with the conference and particularly its youth ministry leadership what consultants heard from nearly 75 participants about youth ministry in the Nashville Area of the UMC, including hopes and dreams for TWK Conference youth ministry in the future, conference youth ministry leadership is still interested in hearing feedback and addressing questions from others who have now had the opportunity to digest the report. Anyone with questions or feedback is invited to join an open virtual session on Saturday, July 31, 7 PM CDT, to share their thoughts or to seek information. Participants are encouraged to complete a thorough reading of the report before this evening session.
The report identifies current strengths, challenges, pressure points, and recommendations, laying out a blueprint for how to move forward in visioning, systems building, and innovation to bring the new conference’s youth ministry to its new place.
