Prayer Concerns messages about the illness or death of serving and retired TWKUMC clergy and staff and their immediate family members are sent out conference-wide at the end of each week, as needed. This includes all of the requests submitted during the previous week.

Moffatt
Please keep the Moffatt and Lewis families in your prayers on the death of Karla Moffatt. Karla was the daughter of retired elder, Rev. Bob Lewis, and the mother of Rev. Zach Moffatt, who currently serves as the senior pastor at Pulaski First UMC.
Martin
Please be in prayer for Rev. Jesse Fleck and family in the death of her brother, William “Billy” Anthony Martin, on August 20, 2025.
VanHooser
Please be in prayer for Rev. Steven VanHooser and family on the death of his mother, Peggy Ann VanHooser, on August 20, 2025. Rev. Van Hooser is the pastor of McKendree Memorial UMC in Portland, TN, in the Cumberland River District.
Wills
Please be in prayer for Rev. Eddie Smith, on the death of his wife, Sue Wills, who died on Monday, August 11, 2025. Eddie is appointed to Fountain Avenue UMC and prior to that was appointed to Corinth UMC, both in the Purchase District. Sue was the beloved administrative assistant at Fountain Avenue UMC.
Adams
Please be in prayer for retired elder, Rev. Woodward “Woody” A. Adams, Jr., on the death of his wife, Lucy Neeley Adams, on August 11, 2025. Woody and Lucy served together in 13 churches and as missionaries.
