Paris First United Methodist Church

- Meet with chancel choir for weekly rehearsals, currently on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30pm and on Sundays at 10-10:30am prior to service time at 10:30m. Occasionaly extra rehearsals are scheduled in preparation for special music.
- Coordinate with music director and pastor in selecting appropriate worship musical offerings.
- Prepare and play accompaniment for hymns, musical pieces performed by chancel choir, or occasional instrumental offerings.
- Play for special services throughout church year (Advent walk, Christmas eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday)
- Maintain prompt communication with church secretary regarding titles of music to be played for prelude and postlude for bulletin preparation
Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Music; Physical requirements: Applicants must be in good physical health, with the ability to climb stairs, stand, walk, and sit for an extended time.
