The Clergy Renewal Leave Grant provides financial assistance for Tennessee-
Western Kentucky Conference clergy to take a renewal leave according to ¶351.3 of The 2024 Book of Discipline.

Eligibility

Applicants must be full members or associate members of the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference or local pastors who have made satisfactory progress on the Course of Study, and who are currently in an appointment. Applicants must have served a minimum of six consecutive years under full-time appointment (or the part-time equivalent) prior to their application.

Funding Cycles

We will consider requests on a rolling basis until grant funds are depleted.

Funding Range

Applicants may apply for up to $3,000. The grant may be used to fund pulpit or pastoral supply. The grant may also be used for expenses related to the clergy person’s renewal leave, such as continuing education, spiritual growth opportunities, and the cost of travel for such.

Process

Only complete applications will be considered. You will receive notification of your grant application within 30 days of submission.
