Part-Time Family Discipleship Coordinator (20 Hours/Week)

Position Title: Family Discipleship Coordinator

Reports To: Lead Pastor / Discipleship Pastor

Position Summary – The Family Discipleship Coordinator is responsible for cultivating a culture of spiritual formation, discipleship, and missional engagement among families. This role has a team that equips and partners with parents/guardians to nurture faith at home, develop disciples of Jesus Christ, and connect families to the life and mission of the church. The coordinator serves as a bridge between church and home, helping families grow in their relationship with Christ and live out their faith in everyday life.

Responsabilidades clave

  1. Discipleship/Spiritual Formation
  • Develops and implement opportunities for families to grow in faith together.
  • Provides resources that equip parents to lead spiritual practices at home.
  • Offers Confirmation classes, Vacation Bible School and other discipleship efforts.
  • Creates pathways for children, youth, and parents to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
  • Facilitates or coordinates small groups, classes, or cohorts focused on family discipleship.
  1. Missional Engagement
  • Encourages and organize opportunities for families to serve together in the church and community.
  • Collaborates with local mission partners to create accessible, family-friendly service experiences.
  • Helps families understand and live out their faith beyond the walls of the church.
  1. Relationship Building & Care
  • Builds meaningful relationships with families through regular communication and presence.
  • Provides support, encouragement, and spiritual guidance to parents and caregivers.
  • Maintains awareness of family needs and connect them to appropriate resources.
  1. Program Coordination & Communication
  • Plans and coordinates family-focused events, gatherings, and initiatives.
  • Communicates regularly with families through email, social media, and church platforms.
  • Works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to ensure effective ministry execution.

Cualificaciones

  • Demonstrates Christian faith and commitment to discipleship.
  • Experience in ministry, education, or working with families preferred.
  • Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to equip and empower others rather than doing all ministry alone.
