The Board of Church and Society invites churches across the TWK to consider a new program, hosted by the Kairos Center 그리고 Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), that helps churches enact justice in their communities.

At this critical moment, the church must play an important role in rebuilding community connections, meeting urgent needs, confronting and resisting attacks on the poor and marginalized, and casting a vision for the just and inclusive society we are called to build. The Luke 10 Initiative brings cohorts of churches through a 9-month training program where they will gain an understanding of how racism, poverty, and Christian nationalism are impacting their community, develop local partnerships to work for change, and deepen their spiritual formation practices to give witness to the gospel call for justice and abundant life for all people.

And, the best part is, you’ll do this alongside other churches, which sets the stage for sustained relationships and joint action after the training program is over.

Could this be a good fit for your church?
