The Communications Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing the church’s internal and external communication efforts. This includes producing ongoing communications (primarily ChurchCenter and email newsletter), managing social media and digital content, updating the church website, and assisting with office duties to ensure smooth and effective communication within the church body and the community.
Skills & Qualifications:
– Must be a sincere believer who is pursuing full devotion to Christ (1 Timothy 3:17)
– Must have a caring and positive attitude, excellent people skills, and high integrity.
– Must be accessible, flexible, and responsive to handle the changing needs of the church (reliability)
– Must have clerical, communications, computer, and organizational skills (articulate and computer literate)
– Must have effective verbal, writing, editorial, and publishing skills (editing)
– Must have a knowledge of church and be able to coordinate unique schedules
– Must demonstrate a high level of trust and ability to maintain confidentiality
– Must be willing to learn new skills and work as a team player
– Must have ability to be both caring and detached when dealing with congregational/guests needs
– Must be able to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with difficult people and/or situations
– Must be able to provide adequate support and administration for various ministry areas.

– Manage all communication resources and outlets
(ex: PlanningCenter, MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Website, LinkTree)
– Meet with Fellowship Staff to determine and execute plans for communication (general and specific)
– Provide office support through answering the phone and the door.
Specific Responsibilities:
– Prepare and distribute weekly handouts, newsletters, and announcements (print and digital).
– Maintain and update the church website with current events, sermons, and ministry information.
– Manage church social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
– Design flyers, posters, and promotional materials for events.
– Assist ministry leaders in communicating their events and needs to the congregation.
– Help ensure church branding is consistent and professional across platforms.
