Monitoring is holy accountability.

It is the intentional practice of paying attention so that our shared life reflects dignity, respect, and equity for all people. As part of our monitoring work, this year we are also introducing a live feedback loop during Annual Conference.

Please use the QR code available throughout conference to share your experience in real time. This feedback is not only for reporting concerns. It is also for celebrating what is going well. We want to hear where you are witnessing equity, diverse leadership, beloved community, grace, and hospitality in action.

And in light of our conference discipleship priorities, we especially want to pay attention to the work of disrupting and dismantling racism and discrimination. We are asking:

Because monitoring is not separate from discipleship.
It is discipleship.

To notice who is left out.
To make room at the table.
To honor the dignity of every person.
To help create safer and holier spaces for all.

That is Gospel work.

Without paying attention, inequity can persist unnoticed. And we believe the Church is strongest when every member has the opportunity to fully participate in the life of the body.

So if you see something—whether it is a concern or a celebration—please use that QR code.

Help us celebrate the good.
Help us tell the truth.
Help us become the Church we say we are.
