On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, United Methodists from across the Tennessee-Western Kentucky and Holston Conferences will gather in Nashville for United Methodist Day on the Hill, hosted by the TWK Board of Church and Society. This event provides an opportunity for every person, clergy and laity alike, from Tennessee to come together at the capitol to embody our Wesleyan commitment to justice, compassion, and neighborliness.

This year’s theme of Christian Nationalism and its influence will guide our time of learning, advocacy, and faithful witness. Participants will not only receive resources and training before the event, but also meet directly with legislators at the capitol, engaging them in conversations about policies that affect our neighbors and communities. There will also be opportunities to observe any committee sessions and full House or Senate sessions happening that day.

Attendees will be welcomed with coffee and snacks in the morning, enjoy lunch together, and receive participant packets designed to help guide their conversations. Registration will open soon through a simple online form. In preparation, participants will also have the opportunity to attend pre-event training sessions, ensuring that everyone feels equipped and confident to enter into these important conversations at the capitol.

We invite you to mark your calendars now and plan to join us for this important day of witness. Together, our presence at the capitol will remind lawmakers and neighbors alike that the people called United Methodists are committed to justice, mercy, and walking humbly with God.
