Summary:

The Director will be responsible for the daily operation of the preschool and assuring the safety and welfare of the staff and students. The Director will ensure that the preschool maintains compliance with state regulation.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  2. 3-5 Years of experience in early childhood education or childcare group setting
  3. Prior management/supervisor experience

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  1. Develop and maintain the school calendar in coordination with PS Board and church schedules.
  2. Prepare, recommend, and manage the annual budget, purchases, and expenditures within policy.
  3. Recruit, interview, hire, and evaluate staff and substitutes in line with SOPs.
  4. Supervise staff, conduct meetings, and review/update job descriptions annually.
  5. Report quarterly to the PS Board and Church Open Table and provide other reports as requested.
  6. Implement approved policies and procedures and keep SOP manuals up to date.
  7. Develop and administer Parent Policy with PS Board and Church Open Table approval.
  8. Oversee daily operations—attendance, arrival/dismissal, opening/closing, and safety procedures.
  9. Ensure a healthy, safe environment and maintain facilities, including playgrounds and classrooms.
  10. Organize enrollment and registration, including advertising, tours, and admission.
  11. Maintain licensing compliance—renewals, assessments, and required paperwork.
  12. Collect, safeguard, and maintain all records (student, staff, and financial) with confidentiality.
  13. Handle financial processes—produce financial statements and balance the bank statement monthly
  14. Payroll—collect and submit timesheets to Church Office in a timely manner
  15. Communicate effectively—publish monthly newsletters, quarterly church articles, and share calendars/updates.
  16. Coordinate and lead special programs and events, support classrooms as needed, and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.

Salary & Hours:

This is a part-time, hourly position, working 28 hour/week. Starting rate is $17.50/hour with increase after a positive review at 120 days.

Monday-Thursday 9a-2p
