We are pleased to welcome the Reverend Keri Cress, who will be joining the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference Staff Team as a “Faith and Innovation Connectional Liaison” beginning on June 23.

As a Connectional Liaison, Rev. Keri Cress will work directly with congregations across the Conference who are seeking support during this complex season of change in life and ministry. The objectives of this position are to 1) help congregations feel seen, heard and valued, 2) connect congregations to resources that may meet their specific need(s), and 3) leverage the TWKUMC Connections Map as a tool for strengthening our Connection and helping congregations thrive.

This is a new role created in partnership with our Faith and Innovation Team. The position will report to Rev. Melinda Young Britt, the Connectional Ministries Officer and be accountable to the Thriving Congregations sub-committee of Faith and Innovation.

Keri is an ordained Deacon in the Tennessee Western Kentucky Conference with a deep passion for combining faith with practical service in the world. She brings a unique blend of pastoral presence having served in local churches and professional expertise, bridging the gap between the church and the broader society. Her ministry is rooted in a holistic approach—integrating mental health, social justice, and spiritual care. With experience in innovative intervention work in communities, Keri has developed creative strategies and built strong networks to connect people with vital resources.

Please welcome Keri to our team! You can offer your word of welcome by reaching out to Keri directly at keri.cress@twkumc.org.
