On Monday, August 25th, the Districting Strategy Team had a retreat at the Harpeth River District office. Members of the team all had prework assignments ranging from reviewing the BOD, looking at existing geographical lines and considering the highest needs in the districts. We shared our learnings and what God was laying on our hearts.
During our time together, we came back to the Discipleship Priorities with one of our key realizations being that we hope the proposal we bring will support the local churches in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We want our organization to be excellent in function, to provide clear organization and communication lines and to strengthen the sense of connection in the TWK. We have a very rough draft of a proposal that we are now spending time individually reviewing, praying over and considering as many details as we can.
Our plan is to meet again on Monday October 6th and bring the proposal to both Connectional Table and the Cabinet in early October or November. Please continue to pray for our work and know that our team continues to be dedicated to this task and invigorated by what the Spirit is revealing to us.
