Please note: we are not sure yet if a recording will be offered for later viewing. If so, it will likely only be available to those who sign up.
How do we create worship spaces where all people can encounter God with dignity, safety, and belonging? Join us on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) for Widening the Table: Planning LGBTQ+ Inclusive, Trauma-Informed Worship, an interactive Zoom workshop designed for clergy, worship leaders, musicians, liturgists, and lay leaders.
Together, we will explore the theology of inclusion, the impact of trauma on worship experiences, and practical tools for creating services that are welcoming, affirming, and deeply rooted in Christian faith. Participants will leave with resources, language guides, planning frameworks, and worship templates they can immediately begin using in their local church.
Designed and hosted by the TWK Committee on LGBTQ+ Inclusion, and facilitated by Rev. Timothy Holton-Overcast, Rev. Dr. Chris Haynes, and Rev. Dr. Stephanie Dodge, this workshop is appropriate for congregations of all sizes who are just beginning conversations about inclusion as well as those seeking to deepen their commitment to hospitality, belonging, and care.
Join us as we explore how worship can more fully reflect the wideness of God’s love and grace.
Contact Rev. Timothy Holton-Overcast (timothy.holton@twkumc.org) if you have any questions.
