Position Summary:
The Director of Worship & Fine Arts supports the faith formation of the congregation by overseeing the development and implementation of all programs and events related to Worship & Fine Arts. This person serves as the team leader for all employees and volunteers in these areas and holds responsibility for personnel management and budgeting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the consistent expression of our worship vision in every service, regular and special, across both traditional and contemporary gatherings.
- Collaborate and communicate with other ministry areas and leaders to plan the music program, seasonal offerings, and special services in coordination with the clergy.
- Coordinate with staff and volunteers to meet the needs of the music ministry for both in-person and streamed worship.
- Supervise all Worship & Fine Arts Staff, including Associate Director of Worship & Fine Arts, Contemporary Worship Director, Organist, Video Director/Worship Coordinator, Audio-Visual Coordinator, and Audio-Visual Assistant.
- Inspire and mentor staff while fostering professional growth and accountability.
- Lead the Sanctuary Choir for weekly worship services and special events, including music selection, rehearsals, and performances. In addition, lead vocal and instrumental ensembles, as needed.
- Oversee the children’s music program, including the children’s choir and special programs.
- Recruit and oversee volunteers supporting Worship & Fine Arts area such as altar guild, ushers, singers, and instrumentalists.
- Build and maintain relationships with area musicians, educational institutions, and arts organizations to enhance services and support community engagement musical programs.
- Develop and oversee the annual budgets for the Traditional and Contemporary Worship departments.
- Develop long-range and short-range plans, goals, and budgets to support the Worship & Fine Arts ministry.
Qualifications / Proficiencies:
- A master’s degree in music, with a major emphasis in choral conducting.
- 10 years of experience as music or worship director.
- Proven proficiencies in choral director and planning.
- Proven knowledge of current musical repertoire for both contemporary and traditional worship settings.
- A sense of calling to ministry and a deep faith commitment.
- Theology compatible with the teachings of The United Methodist Church.
- Ability to pass a background check screening.

Compensation:
Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. (Full-Time)
