Cedar Crest had a great weekend hosting BE Retreat, the TWK-UMC 3rd – 5th Grade spiritual life retreat, in early March! 8 churches from across the conference were represented. Cedar Crest’s Discernment Intern Caleb Purdue led worship, and Rev. Sarah Jo Adams-Wilson, Elder in the MS-UMC Conference, offered messages centered around “Hiking in the Footsteps of Jesus.” Small groups allowed attendees to reflect on what it means to “be like Jesus.” BE Retreat participants also zip lined, played field games, enjoyed s’mores around a bonfire, and competed in the first annual BE Retreat Olympics.

We look forward to continuing to offer this retreat as a part of discipleship formation for our elementary kids!
