The Institute for Modern Worship (IMW) is requesting input from TWK clergy and church worship staff in identifying current worship trends and addressing the needs of churches throughout Tennessee and Western Kentucky. (Please complete the survey linked below.)

IMW is an organization created by and for local UMC worship leaders and clergy out of an expressed desire for a worship support hub and need for continuing education within a UMC context.

IMW exists to better equip, encourage, and educate incoming and established UMC worship leaders in the areas of Wesleyan theology, administration, leadership, and worship artistry through guided learning and discussion sessions with seasoned ministry professionals in order to better serve their congregations and communities.

In September, a TWK pilot cohort with IMW launched with six leaders who serve in various roles within campus ministry, worship ministry, district leadership, and clergy. Two of the cohort members were graciously sponsored by the TWK Cabinet to participate in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 IMW courses. The response from all involved has been overwhelmingly positive and affirming of how valuable this program is for those across all stages of their ministry journey.

Please complete the survey linked below by March 18. The data will help IMW to provide resources and education where it is most needed. Clergy, worship staff, and program directors (as applicable) are encouraged to respond.
