Volunteers are critical in the aftermath of a disaster; however, it could be dangerous to self-deploy. Please wait until your local Emergency Management office requests assistance.

The TWKUMC Disaster Ministry Team coordinates with the Offices of Emergency Management to support impacted communities with requested needs and items. Trained ERT volunteers will be needed, and they will be contacted and deployed as soon as possible.

Local churches can and should assist in their own communities, if needed, to shelter or feed survivors. We recommend coordinating with your local Emergency Management office. Please let our team know if your community has needs and how the conference may be able to assist. (disasterresponse@twkumc.org)

The Tennessee VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters) has activated a state-wide helpline for disaster survivors needing cleanup assistance. The contact information is available in the flier below.
