Job Title: Preschool Director
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Status: Exempt
Classification: Full-time
Summary of Position: The FUMC Preschool Director Supervises all the programs of the Preschool, including Parent’s Day Out, Aftercare, and summer programming. The Director will ensure that the preschool maintains compliance with state regulation. This preschool currently serves children 2 years to PreK.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
• 3-5 Years of experience in early childhood education or childcare group setting
• Prior management/supervisor experience
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
• Create and maintain a budget for the preschool.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate preschool staff.
• Process registration fees and oversee collection of tuition from all programs offered.
• Create Programming opportunities during the year to share programs of the preschool with families and the community. These include but are not limited to Christmas and end-of-year programs.
• Purchase, inventory, and maintain all necessary supplies for the program.
• Attend church staff meetings.
• Consult with Preschool Advisory Team on all matters that need additional input for the successful management of the preschool program.
• Coordinate with church teams to integrate the life of the preschool into the life of the church.
