Bishop David Graves invites you to join a special communication workshop led by nationally recognized journalist and teacher Al Tompkins, created especially for this season in ministry.
We know these are challenging times. As clergy, you are called to lead in moments of uncertainty, to speak truth with compassion, and to offer hope when words often fall short. Effective and faithful communication is more important and more difficult than ever.
That’s why Bishop Graves wanted to bring Al Tompkins to the Kentucky-Tennessee Episcopal Area. After working with the United Methodist Council of Bishops, Al made a lasting impression with his deep understanding of how to communicate clearly, ethically, and powerfully in today’s cultural landscape.
Al is a Kentucky native, a member of the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame, and Senior Faculty at the Poynter Institute. He’s trained thousands of professionals across the country and around the world, and now he’s bringing his expertise to help support you in your ministry.
Each clergy member is welcome to invite one layperson to attend with them. We hope this will be an opportunity to strengthen your leadership teams and build stronger communication in your local church. Please pass along the registration link to your lay person or register them yourself.
