Job Title: Grocery Ministry Associate
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Non-exempt
Classification: Part-time (24 hours per week, average)
Summary of the position: The Grocery Ministries Associate is responsible for facilitating
the grocery distribution for clients of Reelfoot Rural Ministries at the main office in Obion
and the satellite office in Dyersburg, as needed. A successful associate will keep the
grocery areas clean and organized while distributing grocery items to clients of RRM after
the appropriate application requirements are met with the service coordinators.

for work locations in Dyersburg and Obion, Tennessee.

needs of clients, both internal and external to RRM.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous inventory and customer service experience is preferred.

Work Schedule, Number of Hours, & Compensation:
• Part-time, temporary* for up to 90 days.
• Upon satisfactory completion of this period, an oWer for regular part-time
employment status may be extended.
• Typical work schedule is Tuesday thru Thursday 8:00-4:00
• $10.00/hour – $12.00/hour, depending on experience.
• If the new associate proves to be a good fit for Reelfoot Rural Ministries staW and
mission, they will be considered for a promotion to full-time (Tues-Friday 32/week)
within six months of hire date.

Primary Duties/Essential Functions:
• Shepherd RRM clients to plan and achieve successful outcomes for improved
situations.
• Maintain clean and organized grocery facilities at both locations.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This job description is not designed to
cover all activities required in a small team driven mission setting. Other
responsibilities and activities may be required depending on the ministry service
and client needs.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to repeatedly lift items up to 40 pounds, occasionally items may be heavier.
• Standing and walking on concrete floors for extended periods of time.
• Climbing on a step stool or small ladder as needed.
About RRM:
Reelfoot Rural Ministries is a mission agency serving low income and elderly
households in Northwest Tennessee and Southwest Kentucky. The main oWice and
dental clinic are located at 6923 Minnick Elbridge Road, Obion, Tennessee. RRM
serves clients with grocery, household goods, and financial assistance along with
aging in place home repairs and dental and vision clinics. RRM was founded in 1963
and serves more than 3,000 households annually.
