Jim is a Local Licensed Pastor in his 6th year appointed to serving the 4-Point Duck River Charge in Hickman County including East Hickman, Bon Aqua, Kedron, and Nunnelly United Methodist Churches.  The Duck River Charge has recently become part of the new Urban Cohort District and will be focusing on finding new and innovative ways to immerse the Church in the Community as a central and vital resource as we work to make Disciples in the name of Jesus Christ.  Jim also serves as Chaplain for Ascension St. Thomas Hospital in Centerville, TN and a Chaplain for the Hickman County Sheriff’s Department.

Rev. Carlos Uroza

Carlos Uroza not only has the heart for community, but he also has the extraordinary gift of being able to connect people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Carlos is an innovative thinker who enjoys gathering people around the table, especially in the Woodbine Community where he has been serving for the past decade at Woodbine United Methodist Church. Carlos has the unique ability to combine creativity with practicality to provide inspiration for others. After arriving in the USA from Mexico, Carlos earned his GED, B. S. in Culinary Management from the Art Institute and Masters of Divinity from Vanderbilt. He and his wife, Dr. Sarah Uroza, have a nine-year-old son Luke and a dog named Tamale (Molly).
