Metro District United Women in Faith, in cooperation with United Methodist Neighborhood Centers of Memphis’ Soul Force Initiative, present a panel discussion on gun violence. Dr. Mark Matheny will moderate a panel including representatives of two very active groups, Moms Demand Action and Memphis Allies/Youth Villages. Additionally, the panel will include Jimmy Chambers, Special Assistant to the District Attorney and expert on gang intervention and an inspiring testimony from Michael Anderson, who is a survivor of gun violence and now directs Fishes and Loaves hunger ministry. The panel will be held on Saturday, September 16, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Asbury UMC in Memphis.
Please join us for an informative and action-focused afternoon.
