The Christmas shoeboxes are beginning to arrive at Forest Heights UMC in Jackson. Forest Heights is serving as a collection hub for the western portion of the TWK conference. August 1 is the deadline for getting the boxes to Jackson. Once the individual shoeboxes arrive in Jackson, they will be packed for shipment and transport to the Disaster Relief Warehouse in Decatur, Alabama. The warehouse in Decatur will receive shoeboxes from across the Southeastern Jurisdiction. By Christmas, the shoeboxes will be in the hands of delighted children all across the Caribbean and Central America. United Methodists, serving as the hands and feet of Christ.
