On January 22, 2022, sixty leaders of the TWK conference committees met via Zoom as part of an orientation to their roles and teams. The focus of the gathering was to share in the foundational pieces of our new leadership culture and begin to establish new collaborative relationships as we live into what it means to be the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference.

This was the first of many opportunities for our leaders to meet together and the beginning of sharing information with each other.

During this orientation, leaders continued to hear about the impact of having a team covenant with their team as well as experienced creating a covenant draft together. They also participated in a communications activity on how to share stories of transformation. The conference structure was discussed and leaders were given their next steps.

Team members can expect to hear from the team leader soon, if they haven’t already, regarding scheduling future meetings.

In the coming weeks and months, our conference ministries will be uncovering and discovering how their team will uniquely participate and lead in our conference’s mission to discover, equip, connect, and send lay and clergy leaders who shape congregations that offer Christ to a hurting world, one neighborhood at a time.
